I was artist in residence with Skopart in May 07 and took a series of images that represent the land, the animals and the people. Skopelos is a particularly mythic place (outside the tourist season) that catapults you into a daydream. The flowers are intoxicating, the strawberries and the honey sing a new song on your tongue, the animals communicate across the dna divide, the people smile because they are at peace with a temperament that is always in battle - there are not many places this rich and rustic with access to a town down the hillside. Magic.
